8-Day Enchanting Socotra Island Small Group Tour (max 10 p)

Your Socotra Island group trip will begin upon arrival at Socotra Airport, where you will be welcomed by your driver and tour guide. Drive to Hadibo Town, the capital of Socotra. After checking into the hotel, you can enjoy lunch and take a break.

In the late afternoon, you will head to Delisha Beach for a relaxing time. You will hike to the top of the sand dune, and enjoy admiring the sun slowly sinking below the horizon line. You can take plenty of great photos along the way. After the sunset, you will return to the campsite for dinner and rest.

In the morning, you will visit the Homhil Protected Area. The main attraction here is the bottle tree, also known as the desert rose. Their trunks are round and plump, like large water-filled bottles. The Homhil Protected Area offers a natural infinity pool with a sea view. You can put on your swimsuit and jump in the infinity pool. While swimming, you can also enjoy the view of the ocean.

In the afternoon, you will travel to Arher Dunes and challenge yourself to climb the towering dunes there. Look down, and you will see that on one side there are continuous sand dunes, and on the other side there is the blue sea.

This morning, you will explore the Hoq Cave. As you enter the cave, you will see many strange stalactites and stalagmites. In the cave, there are still some ancient writings carved by people from the past. You can listen to the guide tell the stories behind these ancient writings.

In the afternoon, you will put on your scuba diving gear and go snorkeling at the Dihamri Marine Reserve. Under the water, you can see schools of colorful fish swimming around you. The coral reefs are also vibrant and diverse, making it a paradise for marine enthusiasts. If you're lucky, you might even spot sea turtles.

In the morning, you will go hiking in the Kalysan Canyon. You will see a pool of water with a color like turquoise, surrounded by tall white rock formations. You can jump into the clear pool and have a great time swimming.

In the afternoon, you continue hiking around the canyon and search for desert roses that grow tenaciously in the rocks. If you book a group tour to Socotra in March or April, you can see pink flowers blooming on these rugged plants.

In the morning, you will hike at the bottom of Dirhur Canyon. There is a fresh swimming pool where you can swim and relax.

Stop at Firmihin Forest, where the slopes here are covered in dragon blood trees. The dragon blood tree is a unique species of tree in Socotra, resembling an open umbrella. The locals will demonstrate on-site how to make cuts on tree trunks and collect the red resin that flows out, which is called dragon blood.

In the evening, you will camp in the tent set up in the dragon blood forest and enjoy the stunning sunset. At night, when you look up, you can see a sky full of stars.

This morning, you will venture to Amoak Beach and swim in the clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Continue on to Zahek Sand Dunes and Hayf Sand Dunes. The golden sand dunes extend all the way to the seaside. You can stroll leisurely along the sand.

Next, your Socotra itinerary will take you to Degub Cave. Standing at the entrance and looking out, you can catch a view of the traditional small village of Socotra below.

You need to wake up early today. Around 4 am or 5 am, you will take a boat to Shuab Beach. Taking a boat at sea, you may have the opportunity to see dolphins jump out of the water and swim with the boat. Afterwards, you will arrive at a pristine and delicate beach, undisturbed by anyone.

At noon, you will arrive at the picturesque Detwah Lagoon. The white sandy beach contrasts beautifully with the azure blue water.

Then you will climb up a small hill next to the Detwah Lagoon and admire the blooming desert roses. This is the most classic desert rose viewing spot on Socotra Island. Return to Hadibo Town in the evening and check into a hotel to rest.
