Your 7-Day Mainland Yemen Heritage Tour begins with an international departure from Cairo. And then you will continue to fly to Seiyun, Yemen. Upon landing at Seiyun Airport, you will be greeted by your local tour guide and driver, who will pick you up and take you to your hotel to check in.

In the late afternoon, if time allows, you can enjoy an introduction to the surrounding landscape. The Hadhramaut region is known for its dramatic desert scenery, deep wadis, and ancient mud-brick houses.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will spend time in Seiyun for a deeper exploration of its historical landmarks. Now it's a museum showcasing the political and social history of Hadramaut.

Your journey will continue to Tarim, which is widely known for its Islamic scholarship heritage. You will visit the iconic Al-Muhdhar Mosque, famous for its tall minaret made of mud bricks. With a height of 50 meters, the minaret in Al-Muhdhar Mosque is one of the tallest mud-brick spires in Yemen, and even in the world.

Next, you proceed to Aynat to see the Seven Domes in Aynat and the Tomb of Prophet Hud for a deeper insight into ancient Islamic history and pilgrimage traditions. End today with a return to Hawta Palace Hotel in Seiyun and have a good rest tonight.

After breakfast, head to Shibam Old Town, which is known as "the Manhattan of the Desert". These UNESCO-recognized mud-brick skyscrapers are one of the most extraordinary examples of early urban planning in the world. Some buildings can reach up to 5 to 11 stories high.

Spend a leisurely time strolling through the old city and have a real close-up of the mud-brick houses. Enter the houses for a visit and climb to the rooftop for a panoramic view of the entire city and surrounding palm groves. Check out the local antique and handicraft shops, which sell local crafts, antiques, and handmade items.

After visiting Shibam, continue toward Wadi Doan, one of Yemen’s most scenic valleys, known for its picturesque landscapes and many traditional mud villages. Along the way, you will stop at Al-Hajarayn, a striking cliffside village built into rock formations, where mud-brick houses blend naturally into the mountains.

In the late afternoon, you will arrive at Haid Al-Jazil Resort Hotel, which is situated on a rock overlooking the valley.

After breakfast, you will wind your way down the valley from the top of the cliff to Hawfah village. Enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views along the way and explore the traditional way of life of the local people. Explore Haid Al-Jazil, one of the most stunning mud-brick villages in Wadi Doan Valley.

Then, you will visit the colorful Buqshan Palace, a historic architectural marvel known for its vibrant colors and exquisite decoration. Continue to the village of Al-Khuraybah and later to Al-Rubat, both traditional villages of Wadi Doan that preserve ancient building techniques.

Later, you will enjoy the return drive to Hawta Palace Hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Next, you explore Seiyun's local market, the lively hub where merchants sell spices, textiles, silver jewelry, and local crafts. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local life in Hadhramaut. Make a specific visit to a local honey shop, which sells Yemen's famous Sidr honey.

After lunch in Seiyun, you will transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Aden. Upon arrival, you will be met by your local tour guide and transferred to your arranged accommodation for check-in and overnight stay.

You will begin exploring the historic city of Aden after breakfast at the hotel. The first stop is Sira Fortress, a historic hilltop defensive architecture that overlooks the harbor.
